Travellers Choice ready to shine on the Gold Coast at 2023 Conference

More than 220 Travellers Choice members and preferred suppliers will board "a luxury floating oasis" and cruise the Gold Coast Broadwater to kick off the award-winning group's 2023 Conference from 10-12 November 2023.

More than 220 Travellers Choice members and preferred suppliers will board “a luxury floating oasis” and cruise the Gold Coast Broadwater to kick off the award-winning group’s 2023 Conference from 10-12 November 2023.

Themed ‘Shine’, this year’s Travellers Choice conference at The Star Gold Coast will incorporate interactive workshops, a Preferred Supplier Exhibition and a raft of speakers, headlined by UK-based customer service visionary Geoff Ramm.

As well as addressing the conference, Ramm – who is appearing courtesy of Singapore Airlines – will conduct a two-hour workshop exploring innovative customer service concepts.

Officially launching the conference on Friday evening, the ‘White Sail Away Soirée’, sponsored by the World’s Leading Cruise Lines, will see people reconnect onboard the swish YOT Club – a 40-metre-long “Super Yacht entertainment venue” capable of carrying up to 400 guests over two levels.

The group’s National Awards Gala Dinner will also return on Saturday night, a highlight of which will unveil the network’s first Gold, Silver and Bronze Choice Awards since 2019.

This year’s conference will also be preceded by Travellers Choice’s Annual General Meeting. Spirits are expected to be high for this year’s AGM, which follows the Company’s recent announcement of a pre-tax operating profit of $2.02 million for the 2022/23 financial year – most of which was returned directly to member shareholders.

Looking to the future, this week also saw the group appoint experienced industry leader Paul Millan to the newly created role of Network Development Manager.

Based in Sydney, Millan will drive an expansion of the award-winning group’s national network by attracting successful independent travel agency owners into the Travellers Choice fold.

Millan’s appointment follows the successful roll-out of “Choose Day” – Travellers Choice’s first national member recruitment campaign.

“Not only are we seeing incredibly strong and sustained demand for travel, but consumers are now more aware than ever of the unrivalled expertise and enormous value that travel professionals deliver,” Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter says.

“Our future looks brighter than ever. This is our time to shine.”
