BUSINESS TRAVELLER UP FOR A BIG ONE ON FRIDAY AT THE QANTAS CLUB

A male business traveller says he’s up for a big one on Friday night in the Qantas Club at Sydney Domestic Airport before his flight home to Tamworth.

Fleet car leasing Sales Rep Trent Molloy (29) from Tamworth declared his plans in a revealed Facebook Messenger conversation this week with fellow Sales colleague Tony Tickerman (34), also from Tamworth.

The pair are scheduled to hit the airport lounge “as early as is humanely (And Sydney traffic permitting) possible” on Friday, hopefully at around 4pm after what promises to be a “taxing” day of PowerPoint Presentations to prospective corporate clients in Sydney.

Both Molloy (Bronze FF Status) and Tickerman (Newly Silver FF status) plan to take full advantage of their Qantas Club memberships, included as a perk in their salary packages at ‘Drive me Pty Limited’.

Excitedly speaking to KarryOn, Molloy said of his plans; “I’ll probably ease into things with a couple of cold Coopers, then dial it up a bit with a few smooth glasses of Shiraz and finish with a sweet Bundy or seven before we board.”

“Yes it is all free, but it’s a classy affair in the Lounge” Molloy added, saying;

“Normally I’d just get straight onto the Crownies after work, but I don’t want to get bloated and blow it too early here. There’s just so much more good stuff to enjoy”.

Normally Crowines would be good enough

Whilst the lounge also offers a tasty range of complimentary gourmet eats and snacks, Molloy says that “Eating really is cheating” and that he would be “Avoiding food at all costs, except perhaps some cheese and biscuits, because that’s the done thing to do in the lounge, especially if you want to impress the ladies”.

The pair estimate that they’ll have around two and a half hours before their QF2008 flight departs at 1915 to fully enjoy the array of quality beverages and entertainment on offer.

“With a bit of luck our flight back to Tamworth will be delayed, though it’s never happened yet on our Sydney trips. But a man can dream.” said Molloy.

“We’ll have worked hard all week and we’ll have deserved it by then” he added.

After admitting that the pair will likely both be “Out of it snoring like a couple of scaly dragons” on the short flight back, Molloy said that the pair would; “Probably just grab a sixie and go home” after they touch down, adding; “We’ll be back again in six months for another go.”
