FLIGHT CENTRE AGENTS GET GRUBBY AT GLOBAL FOR CHARITY

It’s not all parties, celebrity DJs and Presidential speakers at Flight Centre’s annual Global Gathering, there’s a charitable side too that allows Agents to help make a difference.

During the weekend’s Global Gathering in Hawaii, Flight Centre Foundation along with Hawaiian Airlines arranged for consultants to assist in restoring fish ponds, which had suffered major damage during four tsunamis over the last 80 years.

Consultants were spotted swapping their beach gear in favour of gloves and boots in order to get a little grubby as they removed unwanted mangrove, hau, and bulrushes.

Their efforts optimised conditions for local fish species to grow, thrive and eventually be harvested to feed the local community.

Flighties said it was a humbling experience to learn ancient traditions from Hawaiian fishermen.
