Flight Centre is holding a Charity Auction tonight at Brisbane’s Story Bridge Hotel to raise funds for the family of Geeta Pandya, who passed away on 1 August after suffering a brain aneurysm a month prior.

Geeta was a beloved member of the Flight Centre Mount Ommaney store for over 10 years, known as a successful consultant whose smile was a welcoming beacon for every client and BDM who would walk in to the store.

Whilst she was best known for amazing saris she’d proudly wear at formal functions as well as her amazing Indian recipes, her greatest legacies are in her two beautiful children in Anand and Maansi, who wrote:

“Mum lived a full and happy life. She loved her work and her friends. She died happy and without regret.”

Her family at Flight Centre, in conjunction with the marvellous people at The Flight Centre Foundation, have organised this fundraiser to support Geeta’s son and daughter.

The Charity Auction will be held on Friday 26, August between 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Brisbane’s Story Bridge Hotel, with some amazing prizes on offer donated through kindness of many suppliers.

Tributes To Geeta

“Geeta was a true ambassador for our company, passionate about every holiday that she sent customers on. Her smile, warmth and attitude will be missed. We are grateful she chose to share 10 years of her amazing life with us!”

Chris Brandon, Flight Centre Brand Product Leader Australia

“Geeta, you are an Angel. From the moment we met we became close!”

Trace Olsen, Mandarin World Tours General Manager

“Not sure if it was our mutual love for India & it’s people or our single mother stories or just because we are both strong women but all I know is as a sales rep I get agents daily who can’t give me 2 mins & you always have me 20 minimum. See you up there for some bubbles one day honey!”

“Geeta was someone who welcomed you into her office with a huge smile and often a hug! She was tenacious, stubborn and at times like a dog with a bone if she believed she was right! And most of the time she was! Geeta will be sorely missed.”

Christine Knight, Holland America BDM

“As a BDM, I had certain go to stores to visit if I needed a boost for my day, and certainly Flight Centre Mount Ommaney was one of them, and Geeta was one of the many reasons why this was so. I never thought of her as a consultant, she was always a friend, and I think this sentiment was shared with a lot of the other Brisbane based BDM’s.”

Brett Wendorf, Princess Cruises Head Of Sales
