Help an industry friend & be in the running WIN a trip to Fiji in Business Class

You've probably heard her name and seen colourful rainbows surrounding her beautiful, delicate face, but what you may not know about Chloe Saxby is she's the relative of one of your industry friends, Nicole Laurie, who's working tirelessly to cure the young fighter of a rare, terminal brain disease.

You’ve probably heard her name and seen colourful rainbows surrounding her beautiful, delicate face, but what you may not know about Chloe Saxby is she’s the relative of one of your industry friends, Nicole Laurie, who’s working tirelessly to cure the young fighter of a rare, terminal brain disease.

The Virgin Australian employee’s eight-year-old niece is one of only 170 people worldwide to be diagnosed with Vanishing White Matter Disease, an autosomal recessive neurological disease, which targets the brain’s myelin, causing the sufferer’s nervous system to subside.

For Chloe, who was three at the time of diagnosis, this meant losing her ability to run around and dance like any other toddler.

Unfortunately, there’s no current cure for the disease as it’s too rare for the government to provide any financial assistance despite the availability of promising research that could stop the condition in its tracks.

In order to get work for the cure off the ground, the Saxby family needs around $2.6 million, which is where industry friends have played a big role through donations and by joining the Rainbow Challenge to spread word of Chloe’s situation.

Since launching the fundraiser in February 2016, they’ve raised some $600,000 and still have a way to go.

In order to drive more donations the family is running a new fundraising raffle, whereby you buy a ticket and go in the running to WIN one of several holiday prizes.

First prize is an eight night trip to Fiji valued at $13,340 whereby the winner and a plus one fly Business Class to Nadi and enjoy three nights accommodation at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, two nights at Castaway Island Fiji and three nights Southern Yasawa Island Fiji Cruise onboard Captain Cook Cruises.
