L.A Tourism and United takes agents to Hollywood and Santa Barbara

The Los Angeles Tourism Board & United hosted 10 top selling Aussie agents to 6 day trip of L.A & Santa Barbara from 6TH – 11TH March.

The Los Angeles Tourism Board & United hosted 10 top selling Aussie agents to 6 day trip of L.A & Santa Barbara from 6TH – 11TH March.

 

The 10 agents won a spot on the educational trip as part of United & L.A Tourism’s promotion of United’s new nonstop MEL-LAX Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 service.

The agents experienced United Economy Plus seating and United Club Lounges, LAX Airport’s new electronic immigrations kiosks at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, 3 nights’ accommodations at Loews Hollywood Hotel & the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

Their action packed itinerary included a visit to Grand Central Market, Universal Studios Hollywood, the TMZ Hollywood Tour, the Red Line behind the scenes tour, shopping at The Grove, a Hollywood bar crawl tour with Intrepid Urban Adventures; plus a night out at the Staples Center to see the L.A Lakers v’s Dallas Mavericks.

During their time in L.A. agents were encouraged to share their own #LAStory via social media to compete for a $100 Visa gift card with the winning agent Tracie Pascoe-Lark of Escape Travel Stock Exchange sharing her photos and story on L.A Tourism’s Facebook page of her hike up L.A’s Runyon Canyon to watch the sunrise over the City of Angels.

After their time in Hollywood the group travelled from L.A’s historic Union Station to Santa Barbara in business class on the Pacific Surfliner thanks to AMTRAK.

Only 2 hours north of L.A. – Santa Barbara, known as The American Riviera, showcased an overview of the city on a Santa Barbara Trolley Tour and lunch cruise complete with dolphin, sea lion and whale sightings on the Double Dolphin catamaran.

Food and wine was highlighted with dinners at the Santa Barbara Public Market and Cielitio’s “Tasting Tuesday” featuring tequila and Mexican food. A walk through the downtown Farmer’s Market followed by a tasting at Sanford Winery along the Urban Wine Trail was also enjoyed.

A relaxing session in the Salt Caves was also experienced as well as a tour of the incredible Lotusland Gardens.

Hotel site tours with delicious meals were enjoyed a The Canary, Bacara Resort and Four Seasons Biltmore plus hosted accommodations at the charming BEST WESTERN PLUS Pepper Tree Inn for two nights.
