It’s almost the end of an era, with Wendy Wu Tours Australia’s Alan Alcock announcing his departure from the company after 13 years with the company.

The Managing Director said he’s stepping back from the business by vacating the head role, but will continue to work full time for Wendy Wu on global projects such as developing product. He’ll also remain in the industry as a non-executive director for local and global brands.

Officially taking over the reins from mid-June is industry veteran Andrew Mulholland who will be responsible for Australia and New Zealand.

Alan Alcock steps down as MD of Wendy Wu.

Mulholland has over 25 years experience within retail, wholesale and online travel segments. He’s held various senior roles in Australia and New Zealand, including Executive General Manager for the NRMA Tourism and Leisure; and Product General Manager at Flight Centre New Zealand. He’s also worked for Adventure World, Coral Seas, Value Tours and Creative Cruising.

Alcock said Mulholland will bring the required expertise to take the operator to the next stage of growth “in an ever changing environment”.
