1. Meet… Adelaide Sightseeing’s Conference, Event & Groups Manager

Adelaide Sightseeing Tours and Charters, part of the SeaLink Travel Group, has just appointed Tania Dalton as Business Development Executive for the conference and event sector, as well as managing direct group bookings and corporate relationships.

Tania has been employed with the SeaLink Travel Group for almost two years in the position of Business Development Executive for Adelaide Sightseeing and prior to that spent seven years in Business Development in the finance sector.

In her new Business Development Executive role, Tania looks forward to using her experience to further develop relationships with those involved in the conference and event sector.

“Over the last year or two we have noticed huge growth in conference and event visitors to South Australia.  As both a transport and tour provider, we are well placed to be able to offer organisers a one-stop-shop for their touring and chartering needs,” says Tania.

“My new role gives me the opportunity to work closer with event organisers to find the most efficient way of providing transport and touring options for delegates. Currently we take all of the leg work out of transportation and booking of activities for private touring, saving organisers from having to do the ring around to multiple venues. Now we are working hard to provide systems to take the co-ordination of these delegate bookings off organisers’ plates giving them more time to work on the event itself,” Continues Tania.

With a remit to work across all Goldman Travel Group agencies, which are experiencing a significant increase in demand from cruise-savvy customers, Mr Schembri will be involved in training, sales and marketing and supplier liaison, as well as the further development and roll-out of the Group’s recently acquired brand, The Cruise Centre.

Joint Managing Director of Goldman Travel Group, Mr Anthony Goldman, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Leighton to this newly created role, which will see both our clients and existing staff benefit from his extensive personal cruising experience, which will be the ideal complement to our in-depth knowledge of the luxury travel market.

“With the number of Australians seeking out diverse, distinctive and more exotic cruising destinations, as well as high-end, luxurious experiences at sea, we’re looking forward to expanding our reach in this niche area through both our The Cruise Centre acquisition, and the appointment of sector-leading professionals, such as Leighton.”
