1. West Coast Wilderness Railway appoints new Marketing Manager

Wilderness

Tasmania’s iconic West Coast Wilderness Railway has recently appointed Andrew Ross to the role of Marketing Manager.

With a diverse background in media and marketing and extensive experience working on historic projects in Tasmania, Andrew is ideally suited to the role of communicating the West Coast Wilderness Railway experience to current and new audiences inspiring people to come and visit this untouched, history-rich and magical part of Tasmania.

Andrew began his career enthusiastically at age sixteen in television with the ABC and went on to graduate in 1993 from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.  He was lured back to Tasmania as Special Projects Manager for the Salamanca Arts Centre.

His subsequent appointments with the historic Theatre Royal and then the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in Hobart through to working at Screen Tasmania, position him well to market the unique and historical assets which make up the foundations of the West Coast Wilderness Railway.

Prior to joining West Coast Wilderness Railway, Andrew worked at the Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority where he was responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for Australia’s pre-eminent World Heritage-listed convict site and Tasmania’s leading visitor attraction.
