Agents, tour operators, management, tourist boards and hoteliers met up in Canberra on the weekend for the annual Travel Counsellors (TCs) conference.

Held at the Hotel Realm, around 150 attendees spent three days discussing new products and future plans for the home-based agency group.

Over the course of the weekend the company welcomed special guest speakers including one of Australia’s most well respected athletes, Kurt Fearnley.

The Paralympic Games gold medal winner and Order of Australia medal recipient delivered an inspirational speech focusing on triumphing over adversity and the power of resilience.

Among the speakers was Paralympian Kurt Fearnley.

Whilst renowned motivational speaker Mike Finnigan, who has worked closely with the company for many years, gave an insightful session on how agents can achieve their goals, maximise their potential and deliver positive change.

After a day of business sessions from the company’s senior management and guest speakers, attendees were wowed at Saturday evening’s gala dinner and awards ceremony in recognition and reward of it agents’ hard work and success.

Travel Counsellors Australia General Manager Tracy Parkinson said the conference was filled with friendship and camaraderie, which was both inspiring and a reflection of the company’s ethos.

The company also welcomed a host of supplier partners to the event, allowing agents to meet directly with representatives from tourist boards, hotels and airlines and learn more about their products and destinations, including key suppliers such as Travelport, Etihad Airways, QBE, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Scenic Tours.
