It was all surf, sun and stars last night at the California Advisory Board meeting in Sydney.
Last night’s meeting was the first of 2015, and saw the group discussing upcoming events and potential promotions of the ‘Golden State’.
Earlier this month, tourism leaders from California’s most popular tourist destination, Los Angeles revealed the destination experienced its fourth consecutive year of record-breaking visitors.
The city welcomed 43.3 million visitors in 2014 – 1.2 million over 2013.
International arrivals grew to the highest level of 6.5 million and an estimated 70.7 million passengers travelled through LAX Airport last year.

Meanwhile, witches, broomsticks and spells are coming to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Pegged for a 2106 opening, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will bring the films to life with ‘impeccable detail and authenticity’. Similar to the version opened in Orlando in 2010, it will include a Hogwarts castle that will serve as the focal point of the environment.
