1. SPOTTED… Agents on Azamara
A group of talented MTA, Globenet, Our Vacation Centre, Travel Counsellors and Dreamlines Agents departed Barcelona on 13 August for a six-night Mediterranean cruise onboard Azamara Club Cruises boutique-sized Azamara Quest.
Hosted by RCL Cruises Key Account Manager, Tony Soden, the group were thrilled to experience the ship’s “Cruise Global, Connect Local” shore excursions – allowing guests to completely immerse themselves in a destination.
A trip highlight was the scenic bike ride along the Italian coast from Portofino to Santa Margherita, with a reward of a glass of crisp Italian wine at the other end.
2. SPOTTED… TravelManagers & DriveAway Holidays celebrating a decade of friendship
Milestones are worthy of recognition and for DriveAway Holidays, their ten-year partnership with TravelManagers is something to celebrate.
DriveAway recently awarded TravelManagers a Partnership Award to commemorate a decade partnership and recognising the significant sales contribution of well above average year on year growth made by TravelManagers, over the past ten years.
Nathan Baber, DriveAway’s National Industry Sales Manager reflects on the TravelManagers relationship as being a true partnership developed over the years.
“TravelManagers has always been a terrific partner to work with over the years and it really feels like a partnership where we are both in it together with the entire team, in particular Tanyu Cilek and Sandra Reucker being fantastic to work with and really accommodating DriveAway Holidays’ needs throughout the years”.
TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager Michael Gazal supports Baber’s true partnership philosophy.

In 2016 TravelManagers transitioned to a combined agreement with DriveAway which included both TravelManagers Australia and House of Travel NZ.
TravelManagers Australasian dominance continues to grow with DriveAway also recognizing its sister company House of Travel’s partner relationship, also presenting the company with a ten-year partnership award.
3. SPOTTED… talking Taiwan in Sydney
Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s Australian Roadshow concluded recently in Sydney after successful visits to Melbourne and Brisbane. The delegation led by Taiwan Tourism Bureau Director, Dr Trust Lin and Taiwan Visitors Association Chairperson Ms Chu-Lan Yeh, included representatives of Airlines, Inbound Tour Operators, Hotels and Resorts
Participants in the workshop were given the opportunity to win one of five places in each city on a famil to Taiwan in November.
Following the workshop Agents enjoyed dinner accompanied by entertainment from the Indigenous Amis Kakeng Musical Group and insights on Travel to Taiwan from MC Justin Jamieson, Get Lost Magazine.
During the evening attendees were given the opportunity to enjoy delicious Taiwanese eats such as sun cakes, pineapple pastries, mung bean cakes and nougats, leaving them with unforgettable impressions of the allure of Taiwanese cuisine.
