You Travel Agents go on so many famils and attend so many events that we’ve had to create a whole new section dedicated to your awesome adventures. And we’re jealous just reading it.

Check out what consultants got up to over the last seven days below, or click here to check out last week’s pics and snaps.

1. Spotted… skiing in New Zealand

New Zealand famil Infinity Holidays

Infinity Holidays teamed up with Haka Tours to provide one lucky Travel Agent a snow-lovers trip of a lifetime; an all-expenses-paid trip to New Zealand to video all the fun she got up to.

Escape Travel agent, Cassidy Mackie, was the lucky winner of the Infinity Holidays vlogging competition and recently returned from an amazing whirlwind adventure around New Zealand’s South Island.

She got up to all sorts of adventures including luging, horse-riding, ziplining, and lots and lots of snowboarding. Cassidy is a keen skateboarder and even though she’d never seen snow before this trip, her confidence in picking up a snowboard and tearing up the slopes was fairly high.

Not only did Cassidy have to eat her words on day one of the trip, she also ate a whole lot of snow! But that didn’t stop her from getting back up…again, and again, and again!

Check out Cassidy’s adventures in the video below:

2. Spotted… in Fiji

Venture Holidays famil

Venture Holidays recently hosted 10 South Australian Agents on a famil to Fiji. With the recent launch of Fiji Airways direct flights from Adelaide to Nadi, it was the perfect opportunity to experience Fiji Airways and everything Fiji has to offer.

The Agents experienced the slower pace of life, visiting Tokoriki Island (Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island and Tokoriki Island resort) all the way through to the fast paced and cultural experience of Sigatoka River Safari.

Other properties that were experienced include Sheraton Fiji Resort, Sheraton Denarau Villas, The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.

3. Spotted… hanging with Patty Mills

Helloworld Travel

Helloworld Travel and American Airlines have partnered with Australian and NBA Basketball player Patrick “Patty” Mills to give away a trip of a lifetime to one lucky family, flying American Airlines to the USA to watch an NBA game and have a meet and greet experience with Patty.

Patty was in Australia recently for the national launch his new Children’s book “Game Day!” exploring the experiences of the life of a sporty kid including hopes, dreams, triumphs and disappointments.

While in the country, Patty dropped into Helloworld Travel Belconnen to teach the staff some shooting tips and present them with a signed copy of “Game Day!”.

Helloworld Travel also helped to facilitate a special moment on Patty’s Sydney visit in collaboration with the Make a Wish Foundation. A Basketball loving family had a special meet and greet with Patty, followed by a skills clinic, some photos and signed memorabilia.

Patty will return to Australia for next year’s Commonwealth Games with the Australian Boomers on the Gold Coast. Helloworld Travel are a major partner of Basketball Australia and the Australian Boomers.

4. Spotted… exploring Qantas & China Eastern aircraft

Qantas & China Eastern

Last week Qantas and China Eastern co-hosted 150 Agents from around Australia at their ‘Best of China’ experience day in Sydney. The event was held to celebrate their partnership and present China as an unrivalled destination.

The day started at the Qantas Centre of Service Excellence where Agents were welcomed by traditional Chinese lion dancers and a mouth-watering spread of Chinese cuisine. They had the chance to sit in on presentations on the combined network, on-board and on-the-ground products as well as support tools available to Agents and destination training on China. All the Agents were then taken out to the airport where two Qantas and China Eastern A330s were parked nose to nose and able to be inspected.

Throughout the day Agents had the chance to ‘snap it, tag it, win it’ and win one of three incredible prizes of return flights for two to Shanghai including accommodation thanks to Qantas, China Eastern and Shangri-La Hotels. The afternoon was finished off with sunset drinks at Qantas Campus. To see photos from the day entered into the competition check out the hashtag #fortunatefriends on Instagram.

Agents can find more information on the presentations from the day on the Qantas Learning Hub.

5. Spotted… volunteering your time

Flight Centre Foundation Feature

While on one side of the Flight Centre Group looks at new avenues for growth, acquisition opportunities and promoting travel, the other finds ways to help make a difference to those in need.

The Flight Centre Foundation and its longtime partner, Redkite, have worked together over the last few years to raise funds that go towards providing support packs for teenagers and young adults diagnosed with cancer.

Each pack includes age-appropriate information and resources during the time of diagnosis and through treatment as well as toiletries, magazines, a water bottle, reusable coffee cup and a diary.
