Atlantis, The Palm has launched its ‘A World Away from your Everyday’ campaign with a surprise stunt which saw two London commuters win an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai.

Beginning with a seemingly normal taxi scenario on a miserable London day in March, a black cab taxi driver engaged passengers in conversation as he took them to their chosen destination.

Unbeknown to the passengers, the branded taxi was fitted out with secret cameras, recording everything that happened.

For those passengers who the driver deemed to be having a tough time, he offered them a trip away from their ‘everyday’ with a lift to the airport and free return flights to Atlantis, The Palm and a stay for three nights all expenses paid.

On the day of filming, two lucky winners were given an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai. Atlantis also gave away spot prizes including dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in London. In addition, everyone who travelled in the taxi that day was given a free journey to their chosen destination.

The new campaign taps into the idea that everyone needs to escape their everyday once in a while and be immersed in an extraordinary world.

“In creating our new campaign, we wanted to capture exactly what Atlantis, The Palm is all about and give people a reason to visit and make the resort their ultimate bucket list destination. Everyone needs to escape their everyday once in a while and the taxi activation in London was a fun way for us to bring this idea to life.”

With its enviable location at the centre of the crescent of Dubai’s Palm Island, Atlantis, The Palm provides this escape. The unique ocean-themed resort features a variety of marine and entertainment attractions, as well as 17 hectares of waterscape amusement at Aquaventure Waterpark, all within a 46 hectare site.

The campaign has already been viewed over 4.5 million times on social media.
