Remember the good old days when you had to travel practically every other week to raise enough frequent flyers to get you inside a luxe airport lounge?
Oh you’re living in Melbourne and that’s still your reality? Why?!
Melbourne Airport now has a SECOND ‘pay as you go’ airport lounge, with Plaza Premium Group opening a luxurious space this month.
The Plaza Premium ‘independent airport lounge’ joins an existing Marhaba-branded space at the gateway, giving flyers a second option for one-off lounge access.
Located in Terminal 2 at Satellite Level Departures, the lounge is open from 6.00am to 11.00pm seven days a week and can fit some 109 guests in 284-square metres.
Flyers who pay the $60 per person fee ($47.50 for children under 20) will have access to high-speed wi-fi, cable TV, electrical outlets, a live-cooking station, a buffet and beverage offerings.
A one-off pass can be reserved either online prior to arrival or at the lounge. Those flying in the coming weeks can take advantage of a special opening offer of $35 per person.
Independent lounges are rapidly becoming available across Australia, with existing spaces currently available in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
