Have your tastebuds been craving George Calombaris’ ‘Gazi’ lamb moussaka since you found out Qatar Airways would be serving it for a short period of time on Doha services from Melbourne?

Well, now you can ensure you get your Greek-on sky high via the carrier’s new Pre-Select Dining service.

Coming to select long-haul flights from Doha to Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand, the service allows premium class guests (aka First and Business Class) to select their meals up to 14 days before takeoff.

So if you’re the kind of traveller who knows what they want from their inflight dining experience weeks or even 24 hours in advance, then this is for you.

The airline’s Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said giving premium flyers the chance to choose their meals before they fly is an example of Qatar Airways’ commitment to continued enhancement of product and services.

To access the pre-select dining option, First and Business Class travellers need to log into ‘My Trips’ on the Qatar Airways website or open the Qatar Airways mobile app.

They’ll then get to choose one main course from the à la carte on-board menu or seasonal menu. Seasonal menus may include the carrier’s Greek-inspired inflight menu created by Australian chef and restauranteur George Calombaris.

Guests will have 14 days to 24 hours before takeoff to utilise the service.
