Singapore Airlines knows the way to a traveller’s heart – comfort mixed with delicious, cultural flavours – and it’s using it to entice guests to its new Brisbane lounge.
Officially opening on 7 June, the new-concept SilverKris Lounge at Brisbane International Airport will see the airline deliver its top paying passengers an all-new experience featuring new views, new dishes and extra culture.
Described as a modern and contemporary evolution of the Sydney, Hong Kong and Manila lounges, the Brisbane location is being fitted with a modern, batik screen in the welcome foyer to reflect the merging of traditional painting techniques with cutting-edge design elements.
Lounge guests will have a complete view of the departure and runway through floor-to-ceiling glass windows plus there’s that delicious range of Singapore Airlines food that is almost enough to make you want to become a KrisFlyer member.
No seriously, how good does this look:
According to Singapore Airlines’ Regional Vice President, Tan Tiow Kor, the lounge was designed based on research from customer focus groups to give travellers a sense of ‘home away from home’.
“I am pleased to be able to offer our Queensland customers the opportunity to experience and enjoy our latest lounge design, which has received positive feedback from customers since the new design was launched in Sydney.”
Tan Tiow Kor, Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President
The new SilverKris lounge comes as Singapore Airlines prepares to launch a fourth flight from Singapore to Brisbane. SQ265/266 will operate three times a week and will be serviced by a two class A330-300 aircraft.
