Sydneysiders were the first outside of  Southeast Asia to experience Singapore Airlines’ ultra luxe six-suite cabin this week, when the aircraft operated flights SQ221 and SQ232 between Sydney and Singapore.

Flyers who were lucky enough to test out the new product were amazed by the comfort and space, which was designed with exclusivity and privacy in mind.

Each suite features an artistically-designed sliding door to shut the A380 crowd, a full-flat bed with adjustable recline as well as the flexibility of coupling seats to form a double bed for couples.

Passengers flying in First Class also have access to a 32-inch full HD monitor, customised handbag stowage compartment, amenity box lined with soft leather and mood lighting.

To top it all off, there’s a full-sized personal wardrobe in each suite!

Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific, Philip Goh, said Sydney and Australia was proud to once again be the launch customer for a new Singapore Airlines A380.

“In 2007, Sydney was the launch destination for the world’s first ever commercial flight of the A380 when SQ380 made it’s maiden journey from Singapore to Sydney,” Mr Goh said.

“A decade on and we are once again pleased to host our brand new A380 with new cabin all new cabin products.

“I am sure our customers will enjoy the increased space and privacy that these new cabin products deliver across all cabin classes.”

The new cabin products will be initially fitted to five new A380s being acquired from Airbus, following which retrofit work will commence on 14 aircraft that are already in service.
