Domestic and international flights in and out of Sydney Airport are currently experiencing ‘significant delays’ caused by a technical issue with the gateway’s air traffic control.
Air Services Australia, the country’s air navigation service provider, confirmed on Twitter at 7.00am that the technical problem was disrupting regular Sydney Airport flight schedules.
Although the issue has since been rectified, the organisation says travellers may still experience delays as it works “to resume to normal operations and clear the backlog of flights”.
The technical issue @SydneyAirport has been addressed, we are now working to resume to normal operations and clear the backlog of flights.
