Virgin Atlantic Airways’ new fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft is offering passengers a range of additional new benefits.
From specialised mood lighting across all cabins, increased seat sizes, a new ‘Wander Wall’ concept in Premium Economy, plus a walk-up bar in Upper Class, flying has never been more comfortable.
Gia Acitelli, Regional General Manager South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand at Virgin Atlantic Airways, says:
“Our Premium Economy product features larger, 38-inch leather seats for added comfort. We offer pre-flight champagne, a la carte dining, after dinner liqueurs and laptop power in every seat. Passenger’s in Premium Economy now also have access to the Wander Wall where they can help themselves to a selection of drinks, magazines and snacks during their flight.”
“Upper Class has been enhanced to include a seat which reclines into a flat bed, a walk-up bar that serves high tea during daytime flights, restaurant quality meals and on-demand inflight entertainment. Further to this, all Upper Class travellers have access to the drive through check-in at London Heathrow, which can result in as little as a 10 minute wait between arriving at the airport and access to the Club House”

The Dreamliner aircraft is the first to be equipped with the new ‘Wander Wall’ concept, located at the front cabin. It features a small refrigerator, water fountain and full buffet of snacks and drinks for passengers to help themselves to, configured for day and night flights. It is a compact social space where guests can stretch their legs and commune at their leisure, similar to the concept of the Upper Class Bar, making it the perfect on-board destination for social travellers.
