Quick, someone get us a couple of ice packs because Virgin Australia’s new Business Class is almost too hot to handle.
The carrier brought sexy back to the skies this week when it officially launched its new International Business Class on daily Sydney-LA services.
Fittingly named ‘The Business’, the seats that convert into queen sized 80-inch beds, generous-sized private consoles and lush purple flirtatious lighting create a relaxing atmosphere for guests to get to business on their flight – and by business, we mean catch up on paperwork using the ample space or catching up on your favourite TV show using the largest in-flight entertainment screen on the trans-Pacific.
All 37 passengers in the Boeing 700-300ER have direct aisle access thanks to the 1-2-1 configuration as well as access to the world’s first Nespresso to be served in the air at the Business Class Bar and Lounge.
Other highlights to the new class include Luke Mangan-designed menus served through a la carte or Express Dining plus new Signature Service such as the Cocktail and Canape Service with a choice of Bellini, Kir Royale or Mimosa along with a Luke Mangan-designed canapé plate.
Virgin Australia Group CEO John Borghetti said he’s confident ‘The Business’ is the best Business Class on the Pacific and “will be a top choice for premium travellers”.
The airline’s flagship Business Class product ‘The Business’ and a new Business Class Bar and Lounge is now flying daily between Sydney and Los Angeles. It will be installed on all Virgin Australia Boeing 777-300ER aircraft by September 2016, together with a new Premium cabin and a new Economy Space + product in the main cabin.
