Can’t afford Business? Premium all sold out? Really don’t want to fly in regular ol’ Economy because you want a little extra legroom?

Virgin Australia feels your pains, which is why the airline has introduced new Economy Space+ where passengers receive 25 percent more legroom than those in the main Economy cabin.

Gotta love that.

The new product replaces ‘Extra Legroom’ across the entire Virgin Australia network.

Although it may not be as spacious as the new flat-bed seats on the aircraft’s 777-300ER Business Class, the new product is still worth getting exciting about because it comes with priority boarding and preferred overhead lockers.

Guests travelling from Australia to Los Angeles or Dubai will also receive premium noise cancelling headsets and guaranteed first meal choice.

Virgin Australia Chief Commercial Officer Judith Crompton said the airline is committed to providing guests with “more choice and comfort”.

“We believe Economy Space+ provides great value and will be very popular with travellers in the main cabin.”

Economy Space+ is located in the Exit Rows of the Airbus A330-200, Boeing 737-800, Embraer E190, and Fokker 100 fleets and Row 1 on our ATR-72 aircraft. On the Boeing 777-300ER it is located in the first section of the main cabin (five rows behind Premium Economy) as well as the Exit Rows.

The launch of Economy Space+ comes after the carrier unveiled extended fare options, that increased passenger choices to nine.
