A thousand Virgin Australia loyalty points may not sound like much on paper but translate them into benefits and suddenly you’re a little closer to a free seat upgrade, lounge access and maybe even a free one-way domestic flight.
And all you have to do is spend a couple of nights at a hotel.
The mighty generous points are available through a new nation-wide campaign between TFE Hotels and Velocity Frequent Flyer, whereby travellers who book one night at a select Travelodge property will receive 500 Velocity points and those who book two nights or more will receive a grand in points.
This is in addition to the usual two points for every $1 spent at Travelodge Hotels across Australia and New Zealand.
Among the properties included in the campaign are city-based Travelodge Hotel Perth, Travelodge Hotel Sydney Wynyard, Travelodge Hotel Sydney, Travelodge Hotel Wellington, Travelodge Resort Darwin and Travelodge Hotel Hobart.
There’s also opportunities to earn points at Travelodge’s suburban and regional properties such as Travelodge Hotel Bankstown, Travelodge Hotel Blacktown and Travelodge Hotel Newcastle City.
PLUS the campaign includes airport hotels such as the Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport, which recently introduced a ‘Silent Checkout’ service for holidaymakers who hate small talk in the morning.
