It's a whole lot of good news with a touch of bad news over at Royal Caribbean as the cruise line announces changes to Asia Pacific management.

It’s a whole lot of good news with a touch of bad news over at Royal Caribbean as the cruise line announces changes to Asia Pacific management.

Here’s the good news. Adam Armstrong, who is popular amongst trade for his creativity (and infamous ice skating skills), is coming back to Sydney.

Armstrong returns from secondment as International Commercial Director. He steps back into the role of Commercial Director Australasia & South East Asia, which is based out of the Sydney office.

His role will oversee revenue management, deployment, sales, marketing and PR across Australia and New Zealand and the wider South East Asian region

The bad news: Sean Treacy, who moved to Australia with his family to replace Armstrong, is transferring to Singapore to take up the role of Managing Director, Singapore & South East Asia.

Changes are effective from 1 August 2015.

Both Sean and Adam have worked in various roles within Royal Caribbean for over eight years.

In their roles, they will both report to Gavin Smith, the Regional VP for Australia and Southeast Asia.

Gavin Smith, Regional Vice-President Asia-Pacific and the whole team at RCL Cruises Ltd have wished Adam and Sean the greatest success in their new responsibilities.

Following his 18 month secondment, Adam’s current role of International Commercial Director will return to RCL Cruises’ Miami office.

Are you excited to have Armstrong back?
