The world’s first discovery yacht may still be months away from officially meeting the ocean, but it’s already making waves throughout the travel industry.
Seven months from its arrival, Scenic’s 6-star vessel, Scenic Eclipse, was named one of the ‘World’s Best Cruises’ for 2018.
The title was handed to the ship by Conde Nast Traveler for its ‘Panama & Colombia Discovery’ itinerary where ‘luxury meets adventure’.
The 8-day award-winning cruise takes off from Cartagena for a journey through the Panama Canal before skirting the coastline of Colombia en route to Guayaquil in Ecuador.
Some 228 guests on the trip will be able to take part in many South American adventures via the two on board helicopters and a seven-seater submarine. They’ll also get the best in luxury with a 450sqm on board spa, a Jacuzzi, separate yoga and pilates studio, 24-hour room service and more.
Scenic’s new-age vessel is also serving up flavours from around the world via its nine boutique restaurants, which range from fine-dining venues to contemporary French diners.
