Scenic guests will be able to explore incredible ancient history, see unbelievable made-made sites and indulge in unique, authentic culture when the tour operator returns to the Middle East next year.

The news was confirmed this morning, with Scenic releasing its first dedicated trips to Egypt and Jordan since 2013.

The tour operator suspended its dedicated Middle Eastern itineraries four years ago when the President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi was removed from power in a coup, which resulted in nationwide protests.

Over the last few years, political tension has simmered in the country and leaders have been able to focus on boosting tourism and ensuring visitor safety.

Scenic feature

As a result, Scenic is ready to make a Middle Eastern comeback with the release of its new Ancient Wonders of Egypt and Jordan 2018/19 brochure.

The program features three brand new itineraries, including the 11-day Treasures of Egypt tour taking in Giza, the Great Pyramids and Sphinx, as well as Mena House Hotel.

There’s also an intimate four-night private charter on the boutique 36-guest Sanctuary Sun Boat III from Luxor to Aswan, which will provide a new perspective on this fascinating country. The cruise visits Karnak and the Nile temples, as well as Dendera and the Osiris temple complex of Philae.

Continuing the adventure, Scenic guests keen to follow in Lawrence of Arabia’s hallowed footsteps can enjoy a 10-day journey to uncover the hidden treasures of the Kingdom of Jordan.

Scenic Jordan

The tour begins in Amman with a private, exclusive Scenic Enrich visit to the Royal Automobile Museum where car and history buffs alike will be captivated by the royal family’s extensive collection of rare and classic cars. A two-night stay in the Rose City of Petra, with its impressive Treasury is followed by a Special Stay glamping in the Martian tents in Wadi Rum, before guests head to Aqaba on the Red Sea. The tour concludes with a two-night stay on the shores of the Dead Sea.

Scenic Journey Designer Louise Hill said Scenic has worked closely with teams on the ground in Egypt and Jordan to create the new itineraries that she believes will offer “unforgettable experiences” for guests.

To mark the release of The Ancient Wonders of Egypt and Jordan, Scenic is offering a fantastic fly free offer – a saving of up to $4,820 per couple – for bookings of 10 days or longer made by 15 November 2017.
