The annual show may only be three nights in, but the hashtag #VividSydney is already taking over social media with new, illuminating images uploaded every minute.
Proving this really is Vivid Sydney’s biggest year yet, the three-week artistic display’s first night – Friday evening – attracted large crowds, particularly in Circular Quay, Barangaroo and Taronga Zoo.
According to officials, this year is expected to attract 200,000 more people than last year’s record 2.31 million attendees
In addition to taking-in 90 light installations across the city, Vivid Sydney will also feature more than 400 music events and 260 ideas sessions.
Although we’re still only at the beginning, here are some of the best shots we’ve seen from this year’s event:
1. Barangaroo
2. Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney
3. Sydney Opera House
4. Darling Harbour
5. Darling Harbour

Vivid runs seven nights a week from 26 May to 17 June.
