Skål International last week awarded Q Station their sustainable tourism award, in the category of Urban Accommodation.

In the 12th year, the awards were presented in NYC at the 74th Skål World Congress. Director of Mawland Group, Mr Max Player said, “We are proud to receive this prestigious award.” “We recognise the valuable legacy of this harbourside site and are committed to the conservation and interpretation of the site as a place of national and international significance in the history of health and migration,” he said.

Listed on the Australian National Heritage Register, the Q Station is a lovingly restored retreat on 30-hectares with 65 buildings and almost 200 years of memories from post European arrivals.

“Our key Director’s are all members of Skåll North Sydney, and our membership has proven to be highly valuable in not only gaining great business networking but in exposing brilliantly Q Station to over 18,000 Skål members worldwide,” states Max Player.
