… a Hunger Games theme park dedicated to bringing the movie series to life.

Don’t worry, there’s absolutely no murderous activity involved, no villainous leaders, no weather-controlling game-makers and definitely no poison berries.

The ‘World Hunger Games’ theme park, which opened at Motiongate in Dubai this week, does however feature all 12 Districts, which can be experienced from the sky via the Panam Aerial Tours and a presidential welcoming from President Snow.

Park visitors can hop on the Capitol Bullet Train for a ride of their lives featuring a vertical loop and a 90-degree reverse spike at some 80km per hour.

Plus there’s chances to meet ‘Peacekeepers’, a food outlet called Peta’s Bakery and content delivered by the Capital’s favourite Hunger Games escort and TV personality, Effie Trinket and Caesar Flickerman.

The new Hunger Games theme park joins a range of quirky activities, venues and attractions in Dubai including the forthcoming ‘floating Venice’ – a recreation of Italy’s floating city, and an after dark Aquatrek at the nautically-themed hotel the Atlantis, The Palm.
