You’ve heard (and likely seen) of people casting spells at Harry Potter’s Wizard World in Universal and exploring Star Wars’ land far, far away in Disneyland, now prepare yourself for…

… a Hunger Games theme park dedicated to bringing the movie series to life.

Don’t worry, there’s absolutely no murderous activity involved, no villainous leaders, no weather-controlling game-makers and definitely no poison berries.

The ‘World Hunger Games’ theme park, which opened at Motiongate in Dubai this week, does however feature all 12 Districts, which can be experienced from the sky via the Panam Aerial Tours and a presidential welcoming from President Snow.

The new Hunger Games theme park joins a range of quirky activities, venues and attractions in Dubai including the forthcoming ‘floating Venice’ – a recreation of Italy’s floating city, and an after dark Aquatrek at the nautically-themed hotel the Atlantis, The Palm.
