What’s the secret to boosting tourism to an island territory in the Western Pacific? According to the United States’ President Donald Trump, it’s the threat of nuclear warfare.

Although he’s having trouble convincing travellers to visit his country’s mainland, Trump assured the people of Guam that the North Korean nuclear missile threats weren’t to be feared, as they’re likely to boost tourism to the islands ‘tenfold’.

Hmmm, wonder if this figure is as factual as Trump’s ‘largest ever’ Presidential inauguration.

In a phone conversation with Guam’s Governor Eddie Bazza Calvo, which was later posted to Facebook, the President said that the territory is “safe” and that it had America’s backing “1,000 percent”.

Trump continued, claiming that Guam has become “famous all over the world” as a result of the North Korean threats.

“They are all talking about Guam, and they’re talking about you.”

“Tourism I can say this your going to go up like tenfold with the expenditure of no money.”

The President went on to say that he loved seeing images of Guam on television because it “looks beautiful”.

“I’m watching and it just looks like a beautiful place,” he said.

Guam’s Governor welcomed the President’s compliment and confessed to feeling “more safe” with Trump at the helm.

“We need a president like you. I’m so thankful.”
