There’s no denying that Melburnians are spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do in the city, especially over the summer. And with White Night making its return this February, it’s time to plan a visit.

White Night Melbourne returns for its fifth year on Saturday the 18th of February from 7pm – 7am and promises another breathtaking evening of lighting, art and performance.

It’s the perfect weekend to journey to Melbourne and explore the many wonders it is home to.

White Night is again set to breathe life into the CBD with a dazzling display of lighting projections, art, music and performances.

It’s Melbourne like you’ve never seen it.

People of all ages wander in to the city to discover epic spectacles and intimate experiences in Melbourne’s streets, laneways and cultural institutions.

In 2017, The Medusa – an elusive, hauntingly beautiful and mysteriously alien jellyfish – will take over Hosier Lane, floating high above its revellers.

Last year’s favourites, the Pitcha Makin’ Fellas, return with a powerful collection of indigenous portraits known as Blackface (Real Face). And every corner of the city will come alive with music.

The best part is: that’s just a taste of what’s on offer.

2. Melbourne is the capital of… Well, everything

Travel up and down the now legendary graffiti laneways like Hosier, Hardware and AC/DC, and amble through the arcades; uncover unique shops and boutiques hidden in the nooks and crannies of the city.
