Wizard, witches and broomsticks are said to be make a bewitching appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood in the coming years as part of an expansion to its attractions.

Speaking at a special Thanksgiving event at Jazz City BBQ in Surry Hills, Sydney, Universal’s Australian representative, Tristan Freedman said the park will have a Harry Potter attraction set up by 2016.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be bring the films to life with ‘impeccable detail and authenticity’. Similar to the version opened in Orlando in 2010, it will include a Hogwarts castle that will serve as the focal point of the environment.

Universal is working with author J.K Rowling and Warner Bros Entertainment to build the Wizarding World.

Tristan also revealed that next year Universal will open ‘Fast & Furious: Supercharged’ – a finale to the studio tour – a 3D thrill that projects visitors into the underground world of fast cars alongside characters from the movies.

The ride will be situated in a new building on the backlot. According to Tristan, it will be similar to the King Kong ride already operating at the park.

Also new to the park next year is Springfield – a new Simpson’s land and for the very first time travellers will be able to see what it is like filming Hollywood flicks after dark with new night tours.
