Ovolo Hotels raised the curtain on Ovolo Inchcolm Brisbane this week, showing off a year’s worth of renovations and upgrades on the former Inchcolm Hotel.

True to the Ovolo brand, the property has adopted a one-of-a-kind theme, which in this case is taken from the building’s 1920s architectural history and is called ‘The Cabinet of Curiosity’.

Stylist Anna Roberts played a big role in bringing the historical yet modern concept to life and has done-so by placing what the brand described as an “oddball mix of books, objects and artefacts” around the hotel.

Interiors were themed to tell their own stories and the new signature restaurant and bar, Salon de Co, features Georgian-Art Deco style décor and offers guests a space to indulge in dishes and beverages created by renowned chef Anthony Hales.

Ovolo Group’s Chief Executive, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, said it took months of careful curation, planning and preparation to deliver a property that goes “above and beyond to ensure every last detail… has the guests’ experience at its heart”.

“[Ovolo Inchcolm Brisbane] speaks to our commitment to effortless living – it’s brilliant to see how the concept has come to life.”
