By Nahrain John @karryontravel11 Aug 2017First, wrap your head around the fact that you can go snorkelling with sharks inside a hotel. Yes, inside a hotel there’s a full aquarium with some 65,000 fish, rays and sharks. That’s dogfish amazing! Called the ‘Ambassador Lagoon’, it’s located within Atlantis, The Palm, a nautically-themed luxury hotel in Dubai. As with any aquarium, the Ambassador Lagoon is available for snorkeling or trekking sessions. These activities are, unsurprisingly, fairly popular among guests, which is why the property has decided to take its Lagoon offering one step further. Image: Atlantis, The Palm During Dubai’s summer season, Atlantis, The Palm will offer travellers the chance to take an AquaTrek by Night, which will allow them to walk among some 220 different species in the dark. Each night journey will take 30 minutes, with guests wearing specially designed helmet that supply air and are fitted with a tri-view lens allowing clean, undistorted views through the flat front, left and right panels. The activity is open to travellers from 8 to 80 years of age with or without diving experience and starts from 650AED (around AU$225) and includes all equipment, a towel, wetsuit, boots and bottled water.
