The Sydney-man who went missing when a Canadian whale-watching boat capsized earlier this week was unconscious when he ‘slipped’ from his girlfriend’s grasp.
Rav Pillay, 27, was one of 27 people on board the MV Leviathan II – five have been confirmed dead, 21 survived and one missing.
According to survivors, a group fought to keep him afloat, but he eventually slipped and ‘disappeared into the darkness’.
Search is still underway for the man, however, poor weather has prevented the underwater recovery team from diving.
Qantas’ Frequent Flyers received a bit of a shock this week, when Woolworths announced a new loyalty program which excluded its long-term relationship with the carrier.
