A new airfare comparison website has launched in Australia to simplify flight search for consultants, while also helping them compete with their online counterparts & make more money.
Online wholesaler, Eastern Eurotours, launched an ‘Agent Flights’ airfare website in Australia this month – a trade-dedicated website offering competitive airfares and greater commission on air services.
The website works in the same way as a consumer online flight comparison site, in that it collates content from multiple airlines and presents users with multiple fare options.
However, while every day travellers are able to use the site to conduct searches, they’ll need to go through a Travel Agent in order to secure the prices.
According to Eastern Eurotours’ Managing Director, Chip Popescu, ‘Agent Flights’ is designed to enable consultants to better compete with online businesses, while also earning an average of three- to- five percent extra commission on air bookings.
“We’ve recognised that it is increasingly difficult for agents to maintain yield and still compete with the multitude of online options and larger players, so we wanted to do what we could to help.”

Popescu continued, saying airfares complement land product available through Eastern Eurotours as well as the company’s recently launched hotel reservation platform, TravelRez.
Eastern Eurotours’ new online booking site is similar to the GDS-alternative Wendy Wu Tours is currently building to help Agents when planning trips for clients in China and beyond.
