Chad Carey, Chimu

Carey continues “This new tour cements our position as having Australia’s most diverse range of Antarctic travel options. For the adventurous at heart, climbing a virgin summit is a breathtaking prospect. And to then attach your skis and be the first person to ski down from the summit is just exciting beyond words.”

Founded in 2004, we are an Australian owned company offering fully flexible, guaranteed itineraries to Latin America and cruises to Antarctica,

Chimu’s Latin American trips have been personally designed by our staff who have lived or travelled extensively there, with operations in Peru, Argentina, Brazil and a new office about to open in Chile.

Our first boutique hotel, Casa Republica, is set to open in November in Lima, becoming the first Australian-owned hotel in Peru.

We run charter voyages to Antarctica – many of which raise money for charity – and in 2017, will be the only operator to offer cruises from Australia with the 26-day In The Wake of Mawson expedition departing Hobart on December 14, 2017.
