Flight Centre Travel Group‘s 2017 Global Gathering is as highly anticipated as Game of Thrones season seven AND just like the hit series, it’s only a little more than a week away from debuting.
Thousands (roughly 3,000) employees along with their closest travel partners and suppliers will touch down in Hawaii on 14 July where they’ll spend two nights socialising, learning about the company’s future, gaining industry knowledge and of course, ‘partay’!
Erm, hopefully they’ll look a little less creepy when they’re ‘partaying’.
As per Flight Centre tradition, the 2017 ‘Gathering’ is also likely to deliver at least one celebrity, whether it be a popular performer who gets everyone up on their feet or a famous face with smarts to share.
KarryOn did some ‘investigating’ (mostly guessing) last week as to who we believe may be in attendance this year, including several Hawaii-born or based celebs as well as a few out-there, wishful thinking names.
But of our 5-7 suggestions, there was one celebrity suggestion that a lot of Flighties really want at this year’s Gathering.
No, it wasn’t the former Game of Thrones star and generously built, Jason Momoa, who could offer advice on finding work/life balance.
It wasn’t even Adele, who practically everyone loves!
It was Justin Bieber because as Teala said, we’re all undercover Beliebers…
Although it was one of KarryOn’s completely random picks, Flighties are loving the idea of having Bieber perform and no pressure head office, but they REALLY want him there, like these people who claim they’ll ‘die’ if he performs:
So many ‘deaths’…
And those who say they’ll probably cry…
Or end up on ‘cloud 9’…
And those that who will likely lose their undergarments during his performance…
Of course, not everyone is down with the Biebs…
Because they’d much rather see Bruno…
Or the incredible Dolly Parton…
Or Luis Fonsi, the Puerto Rican who’s vocals are as smooth as butter (or are they referring to JB’s remix of the sexy original ‘Despacito’? I can’t tell)…
Or a former wrestler turned actor, The Rock…
But the more practical guess among the majority is Duran Duran…
Some have noted that over the last three years, none of KarryOn’s Flight Centre Global Gatherings guesses have been correct…
But as my girl Jesika was nice enough to point out, ‘where’s the fun in that’?
