Flight Centre has moved in with the International Towers Sydney and James Packer’s forthcoming Sydney casino, with the recent opening of a store in ‘Sydney’s newest precinct‘, Barangaroo.

The new space welcomed its first customers earlier this month in the “iconic location” of 3 Sussex Street.

Although it doesn’t appear to have a waterfront view, the entirely new shop is the group’s first ‘multi-team’ store with three teams onsite including the Flight Centre brand and Flight Centre Business Travel.

Inside, travellers will find several features from the brand’s Apple-inspired ‘hyper stores’ such as more open spaces for customers, hot-desking for staff and a large interactive map, which allows users to draw a flight path on the screen before chatting to the team about the best airline options.

Additionally, the space is ‘green inspired’ with a donation collection for green charities and environmentally friendly design materials.

However, it doesn’t appear to have a slide like the company’s HQ in Brisbane – understandably.

In line with the opening of the new store, Flight Centre is now looking for new employees to man the sales desks and is having a special ‘Careers Night’ at the location from 6.00pm tonight.

The store has the capacity for up to 20 employees including both the front of house and back of house team.

But there’s a small catch.

In order to be considered for a role you’ll have to have enough energy to match the “special energy” in Barangaroo.

Whatever that means.

“This is the perfect opportunity to meet our experienced leaders, consultants and recruitment specialists, as well as have all your questions answered,” a Facebook event for the careers night read.

Oh, and you’ll also definitely need a resume.

Would you be keen on working in Sydney’s newest precinct?
