Flight Centre, Helloworld OR Travellers Choice, which is the Best Travel Agency Group?

Which is the ‘best’ agency group? Which is the ‘best’ corporate agency? Which is the ‘best’ online travel agency? Who is the ‘best’ consultant? AND who is the ‘best’ newbie?

The nominees for this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) are out, with a number of new nominees going head-to-head with a few classics.

Like for example, Flight Centre, Helloworld and Travellers Choice are battling it out for ‘best travel agency group (50 outlets or more)’; while Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Australia fighting for the title ‘best domestic airline’.

Then there’s Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean vying for ‘best cruise operator (domestic deployment)’; and Andre Moten from Corporate Travel Management, Mariam Alkhal from Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Samantha Lake, Show Group Enterprise Pty Ltd up for ‘best travel agency manager – corporate multi-location’.

According to the Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA), some 1,076 nominations were received across 38 award categories. Popular nominee categories this year were the Best Travel Agency categories, Best Sales Executive Industry Supplier, Best Agency Support Service, Best Specialty Wholesaler and Best Travel Writer – Consumer.
