The expedition cruise line is returning to Egypt this year with the 12-day Passage Through Egypt itinerary.

According to Lindblad’s Chief Executive, Sven Lindblad, 2018 is the perfect year to return because the country is “very much on the upswing”.

“There is a pervasive optimism there [Egypt] about the future.”

Sven Lindblad, Lindblad Expeditions Chief Executive

Described the trip as an “epic” escape, Sven said it combines intimate cruising on the 42-guest Oberoi Philae with explorations of Cairo and exclusive stays at the Nile Ritz-Carlton and historic Mena House.

Other highlights of the trip include a visit to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, travelling via private aircraft for all internal flights, and learning from a team of Egyptologist guides versed in the fields of culture, art, history, and archaeology.

There’s also privileged access to popular sites and the opportunity to take in Egypt’s historic wonders including Coptic churches, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, the Valley of Kings, the Valley of Queens and more.
