The Magellan Travel Group kicked off their 2017 National Conference this week, with more than 300 members and preferred partners gathering at Perth Crown Towers.
Running over three days, Andrew Macfarlane, Managing Director Magellan Travel Group, expects it to be the biggest and best conference yet and thanked those in attendance for their commitment.

For some, the conference kicked off early on Wednesday morning with a traditional game of golf. Sponsored once again by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, this year was 18 holes at the Wembley Golf Course, Ambrose Estate.
For others, a slightly more relaxed schedule as they joined Hyatt Hotels & Resorts who sponsored the fabulous ‘Walk a little, Eat a little, Drink a little’ afternoon walking tour of Perth.
In the late afternoon, the ten new members that have joined the Group since Conference last year were welcomed by the Magellan Board at a cocktail event.
Group MD, Andrew Macfarlane, commented: “There are great things ahead for these members with Magellan, a niche, $1B Group of 130 of the best Agencies in the land.”
He used this brief address to highlight the key fundamentals of the Group and the benefit that these will drive to members 365 days a year. He specifically highlighted the importance of transparency, independence and profiting for members – not from members.
Wednesday evening saw the conference officially begin with Qantas Holidays and Tourism WA sponsoring a spectacular Welcome Event held in the Crystal Club Room at Crown Towers.
The venue showcased unimpeded views of the Perth city skyline, plus guests were treated to a stunning sunset over the Swan River.
