You can talk about it through experience, demonstrate it with images and videos and use facts to book add-ons, but when was the last time you used your heart to sell travel?

Trafalgar is encouraging more Agents to flip the way they talk to their clients from factual and rigid to passionate and meaningful because that’s what’ll drive more customers to book.

Or as Pocahontas would put it, “listen with your heart” and remember that that’s where the urge to travel comes from.

In a newly released two-minute video, The Travel Corporation brand reminds consultants of the emotional benefits of booking travel, which can sometimes be overshadowed in the Agent-customer conversation.

‘Customers book with their heart before their head’, is just one of the many inspirational messages within the clip as well as a suggestion on how Agents should structure conversations with future clients – ‘don’t start with the rational and end with the emotional. Start with the emotional and end with the rational’.

According to Trafalgar Australia’s Managing Director, Matthew Cameron-Smith, when Trafalgar guests book their holidays, they’re doing so with their emotions and the company feels that it makes sense to flip conversations from “rational to emotional”.

“We hope that the short animation will serve as yet another valuable tool in setting our agent partners up for success in 2017 and beyond.”
