By Nahrain John @karryontravel01 Nov 2016The Flight Centre Global HQ official opening party in Brisbane yesterday will go down in history as one Agents will never forget… but it’s not because of the alcohol consumed or any next-day-cringe-worthy activity. No, this one will go down as the day Graham Turner aka Skroo Turner, surrendered to his staff and agreeing to take a ride down the office slide. In case you missed it, yesterday Flight Centre officially opened its new global headquarters based in Southbank, Brisbane. The multi-story building is essentially the travel version of a Google office, with several treats designed to create a positive and enjoyable work environment. If the fancy kitchen on level 7 doesn't float your boat, then cruise on up to deck 8 for a picnic inspired lunch. #kitchen #diningarea #picnicbench #fairylights #busstop #interiordesign #officeinterior #interiors #flightcentre #fctg #globalhq #southpoint #myofficeisbetterthanyours #lifeofatravelagent A post shared by emztruong (@emztruong) on Oct 31, 2016 at 12:56am PDT There’s tour bus and plane-shaped meeting rooms, park-themed lunch areas and incredible views, but perhaps the more anticipated feature of the new office is the slide. Yep, an actual slide, which employees can use on their way out of the building. Week 3 in the office and I finally got around to checking out the slides 🙈 #southpoint #flightcentre A post shared by Kelsea Midson (@kelseamidson) on Oct 31, 2016 at 1:27am PDT Of course, Agents were quick to try out the device during yesterday’s launch and were even kind enough to share their experiences on social media. They were having such a blast on the blue slide, they even managed to coax their boss into getting in on the action.
