Vanuatu's Tok Tok tradeshow returns in 2016

The Vanuatu Tourism Office has confirmed Tok Tok 2016 will be held from 24 to 26 August at Iririki Island Resort and Spa with flights supported by Air Vanuatu.

The Vanuatu Tourism Office has confirmed Tok Tok 2016 will be held from 24 to 26 August at Iririki Island Resort and Spa with flights supported by Air Vanuatu.

A range of industry partners from Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Europe, USA and Asia will be invited to attend this key opportunity to see recent developments in the destination firsthand.

Prior to the event, two of Vanuatu’s biggest properties, Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu and Iririki Island Resort and Spa will be re-opening. Iririki Island Resort and Spa has undertaken an extensive refurbishment, and new builds such as the Ramada Resort Akiriki will also be completed.

Vanuatu’s national carrier, Air Vanuatu, has also taken delivery and ownership of its new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, introducing a new level of comfort across the Pacific skies with the spacious ‘Sky Interior’. Tok Tok participants will be able to experience this firsthand, ensuring their Vanuatu experience starts as soon as they board the plane.

Tok Tok will also follow the launch of a major marketing campaign set for May which will aim to raise consumer awareness of the destination and recover visitor numbers.

The trade show will be an ideal opportunity for travel industry buyers to leverage renewed interest in the destination by meeting with local suppliers, exchanging ideas and learning about upcoming opportunities in Vanuatu.
