Get your fancy white frocks and suits out because on November 19, Sydney’s best kept “secret”, Le Dîner en Blanc, returns to take over one of the city’s most stunning public spaces.

Le Dîner en Blanc has grown a mass following within the fashion, food, social and cultural communities, attracting designers, actors, models, media and a myriad of Sydney personalities.

This year, over 4,500 guests will have the chance to don their most glamourous white outfits and join in the exclusive affair.

Last year’s event took place at the picturesque Sydney Opera House, offering over 4,000 white-clad guests the enviable view of the iconic Harbour Bridge and surrounding shoreline.

Staying true to its roots, the nearly 30 year old event, promotes friendship, elegance and conviviality.

In 2016 it is held in over 70 cities and more than 25 countries around the world.

-Registration to participate happens in three stages: Phase 1 is for members who attended the previous year; Phase 2 is for new members who are referred by Phase I attendees; Phase 3 is for people who signed up on the waiting list viathe official website: sydney.dinerenblanc.info/register, by October 28.

-Once confirmed, each guest’s participation becomes mandatory, regardless of weather conditions.  This is a rain or shine event.

-Dress code:  elegant and white only Originality is encouraged as long as it is stylish and tasteful.

-Table setting:  all white!

-To ensure that the location secret is kept undisclosed until last minute, guests meet at assigned departure location and are escorted by a Dîner en Blancvolunteer.

-In order to leave the event location as clean as when they arrived, guests are required to leave with all their belongings, leftovers and litter.

 

What to bring?

-1 foldable SQUARE table (60 cm to 80cm to ensure neat table rows & fit the available space) does not need to be white as it will be covered with a white tablecloth.

-2 white folding chairs

-1 white tablecloth

-2 white napkins

-Settings for 2 including cutlery, white plates and polycarbonate glassware – no disposables

-Table decorations (votive candles, flowers etc. optional but highly encouraged)

-1 large garbage bag

-1 lighter for the sparklers

-1 foldable trolley (optional but helps to roll the furniture & picnic needs easily)

Registration for tickets is now open at sydney.dinerenblanc.info/register, with tickets priced from $54 per person (incl. GST)
