The perfect 24-hour romantic itinerary in Los Cabos

We’re taking some inspiration from Aussie lovebirds Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, who spent time exploring Los Cabos, and documenting their perfect day in paradise…

One perfect day in paradise? In Los Cabos, Mexico, just over a little over a 2 hour flight from LA, you can pretty much be guaranteed of two things to help create a perfect romantic day: great weather – Los Cabos boasts 350 days of sunshine a year – and spectacular sunsets: Los Cabos is famous for them!

Add a margarita and a massage to the mix and you have the ingredients for the perfect romantic escape.

Here we take some inspiration from Aussie lovebirds Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, who spent time exploring Los Cabos, and shared their experiences on their YouTube Channel Tim and Anna Escape:

 

7.30am Wake up in paradise at Grand Solmar Land’s End

Grand Solmar Land’s End boasts rooms right on the beach, with private balconies overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Take breakfast on your balcony, feasting on tropical fresh fruit or Mexican specialties such as Chilaquiles, a corn chip based dish traditionally eaten for breakfast.

 

9am: Horse ride along the beach

Rancho Carisuva will take you on a memorable horse ride along the Pacific ocean where you will discover spectacular ocean side cliffs, lush desert ranges, private untouched beaches and canyon trails in a Pacific Beach Horseback ride.

You will see cactus over six metres high towering over the trail, exotic desert flora and incredible views. Stops will be made along the way to teach you about the desert flora and fauna as well as a stop at a look out point over the Pacific Ocean. Don’t forget your camera!

 

Midday: Lunch at local favourite Tres Gallos

Many traditional Mexican ingredients such as chilli and cacao are also known to have aphrodisiac properties! Head to local Cabo favourite Tres Gallos, where traditional Mexican dishes (many of the recipes are handed down from the owner’s Grandmother) are served in the charming courtyard.

Don’t miss the house made salsas, and ask the staff for a lesson in picking the hottest chilli  – if you dare.

 

2pm: Zip line at Wild Canyon

Flying at top speed over the Baja desert is sure to get your heart racing, and here at Wild Canyon you can even zip line tandem with your better half! Explore the eight line tour that flies up to 90 metres above the ground, and some reach over 800 metres long. You’ll be flying across canyons, passing close to rock formations and watching the oasis below from bird’s eye view.

 

6pm: Sunset drinks at The Cape’s Rooftop Bar

The Cape hotel was recently names in Conde Naste Traveller’s prestigious Hot List, and the Rooftop bar affords some of the best views of the Sunset in all of Los Cabos.

Tell the bartenders what kind of drink you like (Sweet? Sour?) and they’ll shake you up something delicious – like the spectacular pink Guaycura Cocktail, a creation from award-winning mixologist and beverage manager Osvaldo Vazquez.

 

7pm: Dinner at DOC in Cabo san Lucas

At DOC  you can eat everything from delicious fresh seafood to authentic Mexican to delicious Italian – local favourite DOC wine bar, which serves handmade pasta and an impressive selection of wines.

 

9pm: Cocktail at Bar Esquina

Delicious cocktails and live music to get your hips shaking at Bar Esquina! Order one of the signature Cabo Mule Cocktails – made with agave and basil as a local twist – and watch the last of your problems float away.

And now to fall asleep to the sounds of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the beach, wake, and repeat.
