Sometimes International travel can be a hassle, but passengers around the world got a helping hand from KLM’s #happytohelp project.

The KLM Royal Dutch Airlines team definitely went the extra mile undertaking a unique mission to help any traveller in need, not just those flying with KLM.

They set up a #happytohelp HQ at Schiphol Plaza in Amsterdam Airport, and proceeded to assist travelers at airports worldwide via social media for a whole 5 days. The airline searched across social media just simply being good guys. They helped people by simply providing travel advice to anyone who was heading abroad, but taking it a step further with personalized video tips that directly related to their destination, this extended to tips about…

Mr & Mrs Ayala’s airline lost their luggage, whilst on their honeymoon. Luckily the team at KLM was there to help and took them on a speed-shopping trip, which even included flowers for Mrs Ayala. The looks on their faces of overwhelming gratitude is enough to earn KLM’s #happytohelp team a spot at #KOextramile.

Not impressed? The team also helped passengers out with forgotten passports and even provided beds during long layover waiting hours at airports. Although I wish they’d put me up on their pimped out retired plane on Schipol.
