Consider yourself the Van Gogh of travel? The Picasso of agents? The Da Vinci of travel consultancy? Then it’s time to put your creativity to the test and design the ultimate Thai itinerary with Excite Holidays.

Thailand is the Land of Smiles, fantastic shopping, spas, pad thai, cocktails, heavenly islands, raging waterfalls, etc, etc, etc! And no matter how many times your clients have been there, or whether they’re solo travellers, couples, families or seniors, this exotic destination always has something new and exciting to offer.

Now, if only there was a tool that could help you design the best ever Thailand itinerary for your clients… Well wait, there is, and it comes in the form of Excite Holidays’ “Create your Thailand” microsite.

Whether your clients dream of a Thai getaway themed on relaxation, shopping, food, culture or adventure, this microsite (designed by agents for agents) will give you the suggestions you need to tick all their boxes and leave them with a trip that blows them away – even if they’ve been many, many times.

Oh, and remember agents: you’ll earn 500 rewards points for every night booked in Thailand during Excite Holidays’ Thailand campaign (from Monday 28 August until Sunday 10 September).

But back to the microsite.

Here are just a handful of suggestions you can use to create the ultimate Thailand holiday for your clients.

WHERE TO RELAX IN THAILAND?

So your clients have casually mentioned that getting some R & R in Thailand is at the top of their travel list. Whether it’s booking in a treatment at a spa, sipping a beach-side cocktail at a luxury resort, or just getting into nature, Thailand has dozens upon dozens of ways to relax travellers.

How about putting them on a pontoon boat and setting them on the Red Lotus Sea, where beautiful lotus flowers stretch to the horizon? Or perhaps booking them into Fah Lanna Spa – considered to be the best place in Thailand to get a traditional massage? Of course, you can always book them on a day trip using long-tail boats to a relaxing island where they can enjoy a cocktail under a swaying palm tree.

WHERE TO FIND THE BEST SHOPPING?

Shop-a-holic clients will be happy to know that Thailand boasts some of the best shopping in Asia, if not the world, and it’s your job as an agent to point them in all the right directions to help them get their fix…

Siam Paragon in Bangkok remains the paragon (ha!) of Thai luxury shopping, with high-end fashion brands such as Chanel, YSL, Burberry and Prada luring plastic-weidling shoppers from all over the world. Phuket Floating Market is an experience in itself, and apart from purchasing fresh fruit and veggies and dining on authentic Thai food, shoppers can take home clothes, souvenirs and delicious Thai sweets.

WHERE AND WHAT SHOULD THEY EAT?

Many people visit Thailand solely for its amazing food scene, ranging from delicious street eats to world-class fine-dining establishments.

Suggest Benjarong, a five-star restaurant that serves up some of the finest Thai food in Bangkok, for your more discerning clients. For clients travelling to Koh Samui, Barracuda is the place to dine for the best seafood on the island.

CULTURE VULTURES SHOULD VISIT WHERE?

Like food, many people stamp into Thailand to experience its unique culture of Buddhism, ancient history and genuine hospitality.

The White Temple of Chiang Rai is a definite must-visit for clients heading up north, whilst taking a trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ayutthaya (founded in 1350) is a definite must-do for history buffs. If their timing is right (usually during November), clients can also take part in the Loi Krathong Festival, where thousands of small floating baskets in the shape of a lotus are set alight and launched on rivers and canals all across the country.

WHERE TO FIND THE ADVENTURE IN THAILAND?

Thrill-seeking clients have a smorgasbord of adventures to choose from in Thailand, with a huge selection of water and land-based activities to get that blood pumping.

Why not strap them into a 6km-long zipline to experience Chiang Mai’s Flight of the Gibbon, where they’ll zip through an ancient rainforest whilst looking out for rare animals, including gibbons. If they prefer getting adventurous on the water, flyboarding in Koh Samui will make them feel like superheroes as they soar over the waters off the coast of this heavenly island.
