Get JUCY on your next US road trip holiday

It used to be that when you wanted to travel to America to tick off that bucket-list US roadie you had to be organised… super organised. Did you remember to pack the tent?

It used to be that when you wanted to travel to America to tick off that bucket-list US roadie you had to be organised… super organised. Did you remember to pack the tent?

The sleeping bags? What about all those muesli bars because you can’t cook as your gas stove is too heavy?

Not only that, but back in the day you had a little more freedom in what you could bring because the airline wasn’t charging a fortune for you to bring all your luggage across country but now you have to carefully curate what you’re bringing aboard because you only get to bring one bag.

Challenging times for the outdoor adventurist but thankfully JUCY has gone ahead and thought of everything with custom-designed vehicles that are perfect for your US road trip holiday!

Pack and Go

Thanks to cramming everything, ‘including the kitchen sink’ into a reliable Dodge Caravan minivan, JUCY gives Australian travellers the freedom to pack some clean undies, your favourite shorts and a pair of trusted hiking boots into a carry-on or one small suitcase and just go, avoiding excessive luggage charges and the sheer weight of packing everything for your across-the-ditch trip ahead of time.

The tent you used to lug across the country is now perched atop your JUCY as the ‘Penthouse’, ready to be opened at your convenience.

The sleeping bag that now smells like your Aunty Sheila’s musty basement is now offered in a convenient ‘personal kit’ add-on with duvet and sheets and is laundered fresh just for you.

Not to mention real pillows!

The protein-bar diet goes out the window as you fill the mini-fridge with fresh produce and real protein, ready to cook up at a moment’s notice from the clever design of JUCY’s boot-based kitchen. It’s convenience on steroids.

The Tortoise & the Hare

In the past, if you wanted to plan your US national park or Route 66 adventure, you had to bring your gear and also navigate which stuffy rental car company to go with but with a JUCY you get to combine both – a tortoise-like home but rabbit-esque pace and customer service that goes the extra mile!

The same service that you’d get if you were picking up from JUCY in Australia or New Zealand too.

As rates are seasonal with JUCY – just like any other rental vehicle company – there is often little gap between the prices of just grabbing a car from Hertz or Thrifty and lugging your own gear from Oz to selecting a JUCY where everything is already stocked and ready to go for you when you arrive in the US.

Home is Where You Park it

It happens… the best laid-plans get derailed – whether it’s LA’s infamous traffic causing an unexpected two-hour delay, or those perfect little American diners that you just couldn’t pass without stopping for a pumpkin pie-tasting mission, stuff happens and plans changed. In the past, this meant you had to pitch your tent at the campground at 3am in the morning but with a JUCY, you get to change your plans and park up whenever you’re ready to sleep.

You’d never erect your tent in a Walmart carpark but JUCY’s are welcome to park at many across the country for free. Same with roadside truck stops.

Even some states will allow you to park up roadside for up to 72 hours if you really get stuck.

Don’t Take My Word for it

I work for JUCY so I’m a little biased on the hassle-free style of travel that is offered but my bias comes from awesome experiences in the vans and I’m not alone in heaping praise.

Check out JUCY’s testimonial page and also see comments and photos across their social channels and also see how many people have crafted videos detailing their JUCY mini RV experiences on YouTube.

So that’s it.

I wish I could say I’m packing up my carry-on right now, ready for my next JUCY adventure but I have to get back to working on US road trip itineraries, coming soon to JUCY’s website.

Leave me with the planning of a Pacific Coast Highway itinerary instead of planning how to squeeze everything into my luggage and wondering where the last place was that I saw my tent pegs (was it Byron Bay?).

What’s your car rental experience?
